Prospective Volunteers: How to Apply
Welcome to the AMASE SD 2025-26 High School Volunteer Application!
We are accepting YOUTH VOLUNTEERS (coming 9th grade-11th grade) for 2025-26, and will open application form on March 14th, 2025.
The application deadline for youth volunteers is April 25th, 2025.
*AMASE San Diego volunteering is a 1 year fixed-term contract.
If an applicant is unsure of whether he/she can complete the entire year, we do not recommend you to apply to AMASE volunteering.
This application is intended for *AMASE San Diego* only. Please contact Silicon Valley or Northwestern directly if you are interested in volunteering at those branches.

Application Process
- In approximately 250 words, write an Essay that addresses the following :
- Please put full name and follow with "Music", "Art", or "Both" underneath
- Why do you want to volunteer at AMASE?
- What experiences and attributes make you a great volunteer? (i.e. previous service-oriented experiences, personal character, qualities, etc.)
- Need to be double-spaced, 12pt. font
- submit the essay through the application form

Art applicants only
(For Art applicants who want to be music volunteers too, we require separate interview with music interview team)
- Prepare 3-5 individual art pieces to bring as your art portfolio
- Please bring physical originals or copies (no digital)
- Examples: photographs, paintings, sketchbooks, sculptures, etc.
Music applicants only
(For Music applicants who want to be art volunteers too, we require separate interview with art interview team)
- Prepare 1 piece to perform with the instrument of your choice (including Vocal).
- Piece should demonstrate your current level of proficiency.
- Scales, Sight-reading and Fundamental skill (during the interview)
At the Interview
- Please be prepared for your scheduled Admission Interview.
- The actual interview will take 15 minutes (5 minutes of playing/portfolio and 10 minutes of answering questions from our interview team). Please feel free to ask any questions to our team.
- You will receive a follow-up email by detailing your status (Accept / Waitlist / Decline).
